STREET TRACKER TANK

My new Street Tracker tank is styled like XR-750 Harley tank on steroids. Sides are flat. The top is slightly domed. About 3 1/2 gallons. Fits like stock tank. Anti-leak gas cap has a one-way check valve. Two race-style petcocks are tank mounted. Finished in white gelcoat. Tank 22" long (23 3/8" with rear tab), 8" tall with out cap. Tunnel width 3 3/8" and widens out from that dimension. Could fit other bikes (Triumph?) but you would have to replicate Yam 650 style mounting on your frame. Not hard! The interior of this tank is coated with Gard-Coat^TM. This is a hard chemical barrier which the alcohol in Ethanol (gasohol) fuels can not attack. Alcohol will eat away the inside layer of polyester resin fiberglass tanks. The leached out chemicals mix with your fuel and enter the engine where they solidify in small carburetor passages, valve guides and other fun places. The only remedy is an engine teardown and clean up. Not cheap!
