KILL SWITCH

This has always been our favorite kill switch. Omar's includes it here because we see that the big suppliers are not listing this model anymore. They sell the press-to-kill switches which are worthless to anyone who knows anything about dirt riding. You want a switch that you can slam off and then crawl off the track to writhe in pain or bleed or whatever else you do when you crash forcefully. After a fall it is not always possible to crawl back over to your bike and wait with your finger on the button while the engine dies. When the pack is charging down on your little spot on the track, you wanna be "outta there."

When you hit the top of this button it stays on the 'kill' position and the ignition system is grounded. And you can tell it's off because the rubber cover bulges. Hit it again and the electrical circuit is again complete (on) and the rubber cover un-bulges itself. Two wires with universal connectors-a hot and a ground. That little black circle you see below the switch is a rubber disc. This is an insulator to keep electrical current from passing through the handle bars. We've ridden in the rain with ungrounded kill switches and it adds a new dimension to excitement in dirt riding-pass on this experience!
