This NOS fork brace was made by Daytona, a respected Japanese after-market products company. It is designed to fit 1981/82 GPZ550 and KZ550A plus 1981 550GPZ and 1982 Z550GP models. I suspect it might fit other models and brands if the specs match up. The ID of the mount holes fits 60mm sliders (lower fork stanchions). The centers between both fork legs is 189mm. Expressed another way the distance from inside of one slider to the other is 129mm. The height from table top to highest center spoiler portion is 50mm.This fork brace is cast from aluminum, machined and is either plated or anodized in a bright aluminum color. The surface texture is a fine pebbly one. It weights just 13 oz. Fork braces do several positive things. They unify the entire fork structure. They add another cross brace between the axle pinch bolts and the lower tree. This space if not braced can allow the front wheel to flex the front end in tight cornering. And fork braces look sexy. If you search the web you'll find brace braces sell from $130 to $190. You probably won't find many for the older Kaws. The instructions say "clamps must be evenly tightened to 7 ft. lbs., they must be mounted exactly on both sides to avoid binding and adverse handling." They also say "make sure brake components are not in the way (of travel with brace)." I'll sell you this little puppy for a reasonable $89.00.
