Dave bought this 1967 500cc T-100 stock frame and motor with matching numbers in 2004. It came with no wheels, forks, tank etc. Dave turned the incomplete engine over to friend and local vintage dirt tracker Ken Theibaud (Gary Bang H-D) for completion. Dave's goal was a race bike that had the look and feel of his 1964 Triumph 650 which he'd been racing for the last few years. The 500 is designed for easier handling on small "bull ring" tracks like Paso Robles and Del Mar. He began a search for the missing parts. He scored a Barnes type rear wheel. Eddie Mulder found a set of Cerriani forks at a swap meet for him and helped with the right rear disk brake set up from A&A Racing. An ARD ignition came from Johnson. Engine parts were ordered through JRC. A set of Steve Berg wide triple clamps were found "under his bench". The frame was narrowed for my tank and fender/seat. Other parts found were: Maxxis C-3 tires, Mulder bars, Barnett clutch and throttle. A neighbor painted his tank, fender and helmet. Look for this superlative scooter with number 52c on California tracks.
