Stan Nelson
Big Run, Pennsylvania

Stan built this street tracker in 1999. He stripped it down and rebuilt it from the ground up. Stan took whatever he could off of the bike to reduce any excess weight. He removed the starter and some of the charging components to lighten up the engine. In a minimalist vein, Stan cleaned up the handlebars-there are no turn signals, switches or buttons. He got his hands on an original Hooker Header exhaust and installed it. He fine tuned the carbs and says the bike has plenty of power, speed, a very quick response and runs like a champ! Rick Kautz, a friend and a gallery contributor, has ridden the bike and says, "it's way faster than mine." Stan selected one of my custom graphics packages and it looks rather nice. As much as I hate to admit, the Hooker is rather tidy looking. A "well done" to Stan for a sano rebuild.
