Mark Stira, Willmington, Massachusetts

Normally I show bikes my customers constructed but this one is an exception. Mark has created a beautiful street tracker on the cheap. He substituted hard work and a keen eye for heavy dollars. The extra clean and polished frame/engine and wheels are an environment which creates a sanitary platform for his paint work. The blue is a perfect hue and the traditional stripes set the bike solidly in the '60s and '70s. Here where Mark spent his money.

He got the fender from Ebay. I believe it to be a pirated copy of my Street Tracker fender for Specials from a copycat maker-that seat is definitely not mine. (All my parts are copyrighted, so copycats beware-your activity could be very expensive). Powder coated frame. An 18" rear wheel from an XS400 (which required fitting bearings for a larger 650 axle, fabricating axle spacers and a sprocket spacer). Tires are Dunlop K180s-110-80-19 in the front and a 120-90-19 in the rear. Small chrome aftermarket gauges. Omar flat track handlebars. Steering head bearings. Rear swing arm bushings. Progressive fork springs. Regina o-ring chain. Supertrapp mufflers. New master cylinder and chrome levers. K&N filters. (mstira@yahoo.com)
