Compression releases are kinda rare but I got 'em. They are 'engine brakes' used to slow two-stroke bikes without locking up the brakes and losing control. Use them for motocross, enduro but most particularly flat track. Setting up for a corner is easier with a release-use it right before you pitch it over to scuff off speed. You can even use it with the throttle on. If you are over cooking the corner also apply brakes. They also work as a terrific kill switch. Just have your head tapped with an extra spark plug hole with 14mm threads. You'll have to weld in a collar for the hole in liquid cooled heads. Release body is one-way, cylinder gasses out but no dirt in. Kit comes with: ![]() ![]() | |
